Community Residence Manager (Group Home)

MANAGERS!

SALARY: Starting at $80,000 – commensurate with experience (advancement opportunities available)

HOURS: 50 hour flexible work week

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS :

  • Directly responsible for orientation, supervising, and training of staff.
  • Ensure compliance with state rules and regulations.
  • Maintain household operating budgets and bookkeeping system.
  • Maintain appropriate client files, records, and reports.
  • Coordinate and maintain all home staff schedules.
  • Attend medical appointments for residents.
  • Ensure staff compliance with all required trainings.
  • Plan and participate in community outings with residents.
  • Implement house rules and procedures related to safety, security, and individuals’ rights.
  • Ensure appropriate hygiene and appearance of residents.
  • Maintain the up keep and cleanliness of the community residence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • (3) years management experience preferred
  • Willing to undergo a drug screening and physical exam
  • Valid driver’s license

Shift Nurse (LPN & RN)

New Concepts for Living is a community based non-profit organization committed to adults with developmental disabilities and their families.  We are growing and hiring LPNs/RNs to service our community residences.

SALARY:
LPN $35/hour
RN $45/hour

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
8-hour Shifts

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Administration of prescribed medications, treatments and therapies
  • Provide ADL care, transportation, and community outings as needed
  • Assist with the maintenance and reconciliation of medication books, house logbooks, etc. to ensure compliance with all program regulations
  • Ensure medications, medical and safety supplies are ordered and available as needed
  • Demonstrate good clinical and ethical judgement in the performance of duties while respecting the dignity and confidentiality of the individuals we serve
  • Re-position in bed non-ambulatory residents who weigh 50 pounds or more
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by Supervisory personnel

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current State of New Jersey Nursing License or Multi State Nursing License
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to complete a fingerprinting background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical in accordance with federal and state regulations

    New Concepts for Living is the fastest growing community based non-profit organization in the state committed to adults with developmental disabilities and their families.

    Compensation: The average compensation for Direct Support Professionals at New Concepts for Living is $60,000. You can earn more or less based on overtime.

    Schedules available: 3pm-11pm, 11pm-9am (overnight), some weekend days required

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

    • Assist developmentally disabled residents with daily living skills.
    • Cleaning and maintenance of community residence.
    • Assist in dispensing resident medications.
    • Provide input on all residents’ care and abilities.
    • Perform any additional tasks that are in the best interests of the residents.
    • Document all required activity notes according to NCFL policy and Medicaid guidelines.
    • Assist with behavioral programs in ensuring established for residents are adhered to.
    • Transport residents to Day Program, medical appointments, and outdoor activities.

    Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
