An Urgent Request from Our CEO
Sadly, as quoted in a March 31st article in The Bergen Record, “Thousands of New Jersey residents with disabilities that put them at high risk were left out of emergency COVID-19 planning.”
Community Residences (group homes), such as those operated by New Concepts for Living, were not included on the distribution list for personal protection equipment (gloves, masks, etc…) from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, which keeps and distributes these resources for public health threats such as this Pandemic.
Although NCFL began diligent efforts over a month ago, when news of a possible pandemic first began, we have been left with no choice but to pay premium prices for now necessary supplies of these items. This has resulted in unexpected and exorbitant expenses for our non-profit organization.
Please consider donating to help us purchase and provide the personal protection items and additional cleaning products we need now to keep our residents, staff and communities safe.
