Our Day Program participants visit Allaire State Park in Howell. Allaire State Park is best know for it’s historic 19th century iron-making town, know as Allaire Village. The park also features a visitor center / museum, nature interpretive center, picnic tables & shelters, and a playground. The buildings of the village, which remain today, include a general store, blacksmith shop, carpenter’s shop, manager’s house, foreman’s house and a church. One of the workers’ row house buildings is now the Allaire Visitor Center and Museum.
