Rochelle Park Library

A trip to the local library allows our individuals to develop skills for community awareness, socialization, public navigation, and decision making, while enjoying a leisurely activity.  

Mall Outing

Our clients sit back, relax, and enjoy the latest movies at local movie theaters.

YMCA Cooking

Our clients enjoy a day in the kitchen! Learning to prepare meals encourages independence and provides the opportunity for social connections with others. Plus a tasty reward at the end!

YMCA Gym

Exercise can benefit both physical and mental health. Our clients spend the day at the local YMCA to get fit and stay healthy.

Dave & Buster’s

Our clients eat, play and watch sports at our local Dave & Buster's!

Meals on Wheels

Volunteering is important for the amazing individuals in our program as a useful avenue for getting to know other members in the community. Pictures coming soon.

Virtual Farm Tour

Our extraordinary individuals participate in Virtual Farm Tours hosted by the American Dairy Farmer Association - Northeast. These tours will digitally transport our groups to a real dairy farm with the farmer as a live guide, as they learn about what it takes to work and live on a dairy farm. Pictures coming soon!

Visit to an Exotic Pet Store

We visit a local exotic pet shop in Lodi, where our individuals have a chance to see and interact with an assortment of animals like lizards, reptiles, small animals, and colorful birds. Pictures coming soon!

Art at the Achievement Center

Our Day Program participants hone their creativity at the Achievement Center with seasonal arts & crafts, guided by an instructor.

Bowling

Our amazing individuals visit a local bowling alley to let the pins fall where they may! Bowling provides a great low-impact workout engaging muscle strength and cardio, improves flexibility and plus, its fun!

Day at the Movies

Trip to Barnes & Noble

A trip to Barnes & Noble offers our individuals an opportunity to find books and movies they love! Pictures coming soon!

Dance Group

The individuals at our Achievement Center work up a sweat dancing to their favorite tunes. Dancing helps to promote strength, coordination, and balance which helps in improving overall well-being! Pictures coming soon!

Barr Karate

Our clients are joined by Soke Gandmaster Larry Barr to sharpen their focus, self-discipline, and self-control while relieving some stress.

Valentine’s Day Party

Our amazing individuals spent the night dancing, taking photos, and enjoying some good ol' fashioned BBQ at this year's Sweetheart Rodeo. Check out the photos from the event!

Yoga with Karen

Yoga can be beneficial for individuals with disabilities or chronic health conditions through both the physical postures and breathwork. Each pose can be modified or adapted to meet the needs of the student. Nurse Karen Overgaard spends time with the amazing individuals in our program to help them stretch, while practicing meditative breathing.

Ice Cream Social

Our clients enjoy some cool treats at a local ice cream shop. Socials with our clients are important for skill improvement to cope with challenges, and reduces stress, depression, anxiety and fatigue.

Trip to Tilt Museum

Visits to local museums offer our groups of extraordinary individuals many things to see during their visit, including interactive exhibitions, educational programs, live performances, and more.
