Laurelwood Arboretum

Laurelwood Arboretum is a beautiful 30-acre property that contains woodland trails, gardens, wildlife ponds, streams and hundreds of varieties of unusual species of plants and trees, where our participants can experience calmness, joy, and  creativity. Pictures coming soon!

Abilities Expo – NY Metro

Our amazing individuals visit the Abilities Expo in Edison, NJ to enjoy of exciting day learning about game-changing products, services and resources for individuals with disabilities, visit free workshops and fun, adaptive events and activities.

Wellness Therapy with Mercer Physiology

The team at Mercer Exercise Physiology works with the individuals at our Achievement Center to develop personalized workouts that suit each person's needs, abilities and goals. This creates a safe training environment where participants feel confident and comfortable. Pictures coming soon!

Bowling

Our participants visit a local bowling alley to let the pins fall where they may! Bowling provides a great low-impact workout engaging muscle strength and cardio, improves flexibility and plus, its fun!

Ice Cream Social

Participants at our Achievement Center enjoy some cool treats at a local ice cream shop. Socials with our individuals are important for skill improvement to cope with challenges, and reduces stress, depression, anxiety and fatigue.

Rochelle Park Library

A trip to the local library allows our individuals to develop skills for community awareness, socialization, public navigation, and decision making, while enjoying a leisurely activity.  

Day at the Movies

A trip to local movie theaters gives our participants the opportunity sit back, relax, and enjoy the latest flicks!

YMCA Cooking

Our participants enjoy a day in the kitchen! Learning to prepare meals encourages independence and provides the opportunity for social connections with others. Plus they get a tasty reward at the end!

ImagineThat!!! Museum

Our extraordinary individuals visit ImagineThat!!! Museum in Florham Park  to see their exhibits which are specifically designed to stimulate imagination and intellect while providing them with a fun and exciting day! Pictures coming soon!

Meals on Wheels

Volunteering is important for the amazing individuals in our program as a useful avenue for getting to know other members in our community. Pictures coming soon.

Barr Karate

Our participants are joined by Soke Grandmaster Larry Barr to sharpen their focus, self-discipline, and self-control while relieving some stress.

YMCA Gym

Exercise can benefit both physical and mental health. Participants in our program take a trip to the local YMCA to get fit and stay healthy.

Art at the Achievement Center

Our Day Program participants hone their creativity at the Achievement Center with seasonal arts & crafts, guided by instructor, Debra Koplish.

Rochelle Park Library

A trip to the local library allows the individuals in our program an opportunity to practice skills for community awareness, socialization, and public navigation while enjoying fun movies. Pictures coming soon!  

Manicures

Our clients love self-care days ! Self-care allows our clients to show gratitude, reduce stress and anxiety, boost self esteem and leads to better relationships with their community.

Smoothie Social

A sweet and refreshing smoothie hits the spot for our Day Program participants as they gather for a smoothie social. Socials for our clients are important for skill improvement to cope with challenges, and reduces stress, depression, anxiety and fatigue. Pictures coming soon!

Garrett Mountain Reservation

High Meadow playground and fitness area at Garret Mountain Reservation provides individuals in our program with the perfect space to get some fresh air and exercise on a beautiful Spring afternoon.

Liberty State Park

Our individuals enjoy a day at the historical Liberty State Park. This beautiful green oasis is located in the middle of Metropolitan New Jersey, featuring a Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Pictures coming soon!

Visit to the Beach

Our amazing individuals soak up the sun on the soft sand of the Jersey Shore as they take a trip to one of the many beaches less than an hour away from our Achievement Center. Pictures coming soon!
