Meals on Wheels

Volunteering is important for the amazing individuals in our program as a useful avenue for getting to know other members in the community. Pictures coming soon.

Barr Karate

Our participants are joined by Soke Grandmaster Larry Barr to sharpen their focus, self-discipline, and self-control while relieving some stress.

YMCA Gym

Exercise can benefit both physical and mental health. We spend the day at the local YMCA to exercise, get fit, and stay healthy.

Music with Cliff

Musician, Cliff Romanelli, joins our participants at the Achievement Center for some live accordion and piano music.

Art at the Achievement Center

Our Day Program participants hone their creativity at the Achievement Center with seasonal arts & crafts, guided by instructor, Debra Koplish.

Lunch Outing

Our amazing individuals spend the afternoon out on the town for lunch at a local restaurant. Pictures coming soon!

Rochelle Park Library

A trip to the local library allows our extraordinary individuals to work on community awareness and resources, socialization, public navigation, decision making, and enjoy a leisurely activity. Pictures coming soon!  

Ice Cream Social

Participants at our Achievement Center enjoy some cool treats at a local ice cream shop. Socials with our individuals are important for skill improvement to cope with challenges, and reduces stress, depression, anxiety and fatigue.

Dance Group

The individuals at our Achievement Center work up a sweat dancing to their favorite tunes. Dancing promotes strength, coordination, and balance which helps in improving overall well-being! Pictures coming soon!

Dollar Store

A trip to the Dollar Tree store gives the amazing individuals in our program access to household items, and promotes equal treatment and opportunity. They love to browse and shop for their own goodies. Overpeck Park

Overpeck Park hosts our participants for a day of play and fun in the sun. Spanning more than 805-acres, its a prime location for a recreational day! This park contains multiple athletic tracks and fields, picnic and fishing areas, playgrounds, a grass amphitheater  and a 5 mile trail for walking and biking. Pictures coming Soon!

Painting Class

Painting provides our participants with a creative outlet, and also lets them show off their accomplishments to others, which promotes social interaction and builds confidence. Photos coming soon!

Wellness Therapy with Mercer Physiology

The team at Mercer Exercise Physiology works with the individuals at our Achievement Center to develop personalized workouts that suit each person's needs, abilities and goals. This creates a safe training environment where participants feel confident and comfortable. Pictures coming soon!

Visit to an Exotic Pet Store

We visit a local exotic pet shop in Lodi, where our participants have a chance to see and interact with an assortment of animals like lizards, reptiles, small animals, and colorful birds.

Van Saun Park

With over 130 acres at Van Saun Park, there are many opportunities for passive and active recreation. The park offers ball fields and tennis courts, picnic areas, state of the art playgrounds and splash pads, pony rides, a millennium carousel, a miniature train ride, and the nationally-accredited Bergen County Zoo! A trip to the local library allows the individuals in our program an opportunity to practice skills for community awareness, socialization, and public navigation while enjoying fun movies. Pictures coming soon!

YMCA Cooking

Our extraordinary individuals enjoy a day in the kitchen at our local YMCA! Learning to prepare meals encourages independence, and provides the opportunity for social connections with others. Plus a tasty reward at the end!

Fort Lee Historic Park

Our participants visit a reconstructed Revolutionary War encampment and Visitor Center at the Fort Lee Historic Park to learn about living conditions for soldiers during the Revolutionary War while enjoying picturesque views of New York City from the Hudson Palisades.
