Volunteering is important for the amazing individuals in our program as a useful avenue for getting to know other members in our community. Our Day Program participants help out at Meals on Wheels to prepare dinners for residents in Bergen County. Pictures coming soon.
Our Day Program participants hone their creativity at the Achievement Center with seasonal arts & crafts, guided by instructor, Debra Koplish.
Our Day Program participants take a trip to Ort Farms and spend the afternoon in the orchards with plenty of juicy apples that are ripe for the picking.
A trip to the local library allows our individuals to develop skills for community awareness, socialization, public navigation, and decision making, while enjoying a leisurely activity.
Brookhollow’s Barnyard is great experience for anyone! Here our program participants feed the animals carrots, enjoy tractor and train rides, while learning all about the animals on the property. The open outdoor space offers an opportunity to get fresh air, exercise and appreciation for the land and animals.
High Meadow playground and fitness area at Garret Mountain Reservation provides individuals in our program with the perfect space to get some fresh air and exercise on a beautiful Spring afternoon.
New Jersey’s Botanical Garden leave our participants captivated and in awe of the beautiful gardens and landscapes in Ringwood, NJ. Pictures Coming Soon.
Ramapo Mountain State Forest offers our individuals an opportunity to connect with nature while exploring its many trails, including spectacular views of the scenic 120-acre Ramapo Lake. Pictures coming soon!
The team at Mercer Exercise Physiology works with the individuals at our Achievement Center to develop personalized workouts that suit each person's needs, abilities and goals. This creates a safe training environment where participants feel confident and comfortable. Pictures coming soon!
A trip to local movie theaters gives our participants the opportunity sit back, relax, and enjoy the latest featured flicks!
Our amazing individuals bring their 'A Game' to the courses! This fun activity boosts physical activity, increases self-esteem, creates memorable bonds through socialization and gives them an opportunity to learn something new!
The Sussex County Sunflower Maze was created and produced by Liberty Farm in 2011. Being in nature reduces feelings of isolation, promotes calmness, and lifts the mood of our Day Program participants. Pictures coming soon!
A trip to the Dollar Tree store gives our participants full access to resources, and promotes equal treatment and opportunity. They love to browse and shop for their own items. Our participants visit a local bowling alley to let the pins fall where they may! Bowling provides a great low-impact workout engaging muscle strength and cardio, improves flexibility and plus, its fun!
