Our habilitative services help individuals with I/DD build and maintain essential life skills in our welcoming, state-of-the-art Achievement Center. Board-certified clinicians deliver services in a dedicated suite with specialized equipment, tailored to each person’s goals.

Services Overview

Occupational Therapy (OT)

  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): self-care tasks
  • Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs): meal prep, household chores, life skills for future employment
  • Sensory processing and integration
  • Wheelchair mobility, seating, and positioning
  • Address visual concerns

Physical Therapy (PT)

  • Improve functional mobility (walking, transfers, and daily movement skills)
  • Build strength and muscular endurance for better physical performance
  • Enhance balance and coordination to reduce fall risk
  • Maintain or increase range of motion and flexibility to prevent stiffness
  • Promote proper posture and body alignment during sitting, standing, and movement
  • Develop gross motor skills and motor planning abilities
  • Train use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment (e.g., braces, wheelchairs)
  • Address sensory and behavioral needs to improve participation and engagement
  • Support cardiovascular health and overall fitness
  • Educate caregivers and families to reinforce therapy at home and prevent complications

Speech Therapy (ST)

  • Articulation – improving speech clarity and sound production
  • Fluency – supporting smooth, natural speech
  • Voice – improving vocal quality, pitch, and volume
  • Language – understanding and expressing ideas
  • Social Communication – using appropriate skills in conversations and social situations
  • AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication) – using no-tech or low-tech (pictures, communication boards, gestures) and high-tech (apps, speech-generating devices) tools to communicate
  • Cognition – improving attention, memory, and problem-solving skills
  • Swallowing– Dysphagia therapy to support safe eating and drinking
  • Hearing – supporting communication related to hearing differences
