January 10. 2023: Our Day Program participants love going to the Ridgewood YMCA for cooking class. This week was Taco Tuesday!
Cooking is educational and teaches many different skills. Some of these are math, reading, science, following directions, patience, and problem-solving skills.
Groups of our individuals attend a weekly session at the YMCA for cooking lessons. It gives them a chance to be a part of their community and learn new skills in order to enhance their independence and well-being.
