Celebrating 20 Years with Dayhan Villalobos
This month, we are proud to celebrate a truly special milestone: Dayhan Villalobos, our Accounts Payable Specialist, is celebrating 20 years with New Concepts for Living! As our longest-tenured team member, Dayhan’s dedication, hard work, and kind spirit have made a lasting impact on NCFL.
Dayhan first joined NCFL as a receptionist, seeking employment that would offer a steady paycheck, a pleasant work environment, and nice coworkers. She found exactly that — and much more. Over the years, her journey evolved as she took on new challenges and opportunities for growth, working in Human Resources before ultimately finding her place in Finance. “I’m very grateful for the development that I have been through in both departments,” she shares.
When asked about her favorite memories, Dayhan warmly recalls moments spent with the individuals we serve. One memory that stands out is receiving a card and gift from Ms. Holly, a resident who never fails to make her feel special on her birthday or at Christmas. “She is so sweet,” Dayhan says.
Dayhan has witnessed remarkable growth at NCFL since her early days. “NCFL has grown tremendously,” she notes. “It has beautiful homes for our residents that I wish I could live in. The main office/headquarters is a huge and amazing building. Participants, their families and guardians, and everyone is happy and proud of the progress they have seen within this organization. I’m very happy that I have the opportunity to be a part of it.”
When reflecting on the people who influenced her, Dayhan is quick to acknowledge the many coworkers who have contributed to her professional growth: “I have learned something beneficial and valuable from everyone I have worked with.”
Outside of work, Dayhan enjoys quiet moments with family and friends, especially during her favorite holidays — Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
Her advice to new team members? “Work hard and enjoy everything this company has to offer.”
On her 20th anniversary, Dayhan was celebrated at the office by her coworkers and NCFL participants, who passed by with gifts, flowers, balloons, and treats. She was also honored later at a surprise dinner held in her honor, a testament to how deeply valued she is by everyone around her.
